Union Ave & Rainier St Roundabout

The Union Avenue / Rainier Street Roundabout Project includes construction of a 5-legged roundabout at the intersection.

The improvements include, pavement removal, grading, pavement reconstruction, storm drainage improvements, utility relocation, Illumination, rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) and signage improvements, pavement marking, truck apron, splitter islands, curb/gutter/sidewalk/ADA improvements, irrigation and landscape improvements.

The roundabout serves the Pierce County Anderson Island ferry loading lanes. Gray & Osborne provided design, construction staking and limited construction administration. The project was constructed in 2021.
