The project provided for the replacement of the Town’s aging water and sanitary sewer systems and included five schedules of work:
Schedule A – Water Main Replacement: Included the installation of approximately 17,500 linear feet of 8-inch and 2,200 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main, 100 gate valves, 43 fire hydrants, and 220 meter services.
Schedule B – Sanitary Sewer Replacement: Included the installation of approximately 14,000 linear feet of 8-inch and 250 linear feet of 12-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe, 68 manholes, and 220 side sewers. In addition, the work included installation of side sewers on private property and connecting the homeowners’ systems to the new sewer system.
Schedule C – Restoration: Included the installation of approximately 10,000 tons of HMA, 22,000 tons of crushed rock, 118 catch basins, 9,000 feet of concrete curb and gutter, 3,200 SY concrete sidewalk, and 51 concrete curb ramps to rebuild the Town’s road system and work on private property to restore the property to its original state.
Schedule D – Farm Street Sidewalk: Included the installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of new curb and gutter and ADA-compliant sidewalk, seven new curb ramps, a stormwater collection and infiltration system, 600 linear feet of retaining wall varying from 6 inches to 2.5 feet tall, and associated surface restoration.
Schedule E – Wilkeson-Carbonado Road Water Main (Bid Additive): Included the installation of approximately 4,000 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water pipe, two gate valves, eight hydrants, and ten meter services.
